Fundraising Brainstorming

January 30, 2006
Since Betty suggested that we get creative in trying to raise funds for our adoption, we've been trying to brainstorm fundraising ideas. God has provided for the costs in each step of the adoption journey. Now, we still need to raise 60% of our final fees, which are due upon being chosen by a birthmother.

So far, our solution has been to add significantly to our Adoption Fund savings from our paychecks each month.

We are also attempting to apply for adoption grants, now that our homestudy has been finalized.

And, we are introducing a new solution: The "Donation" button! If you feel led to contribute to our Adoption Fund, just click on the "Make a Donation" button (on the left side of the screen, with the Links). It will take you to a secure PayPal page, which is linked to our Adoption Fund.
Please note that your donations will not be tax-deductible, since it is helping pay for a service. So, if you think this is tacky, just ignore it. :) Thank you!

Remember, the best way to help is to pray!

Good idea about the button....
Have you thought about a pizza card? There is some thing in Missouri anyway for Dominos i think and they make these cards - you sell them for $10 but you only pay $3 each for them. It's a good profit! They people who buy them use them for a year and get a pizza free with a purchase or something. It's a great way to raise money - especially if you have a big church, office and family with a big church and office. Just a suggestion

Thanks for the suggestion. :)
We live in a small rural community, and we don't have any family in the area. I'm the only one that works in my office.
So, that's part of what makes fundraising so difficult.
Keep the ideas coming! :)

I am so proud of you two! We had so much fun Sunday and had a lot to talk about together after we parted. Thank you so much for investing in our lives. We read chapter one in the love language book last night and really enjoyed it. Thank you!!!
